ABOUT

Phil Jackson once said, “There is more to life than basketball, but there is more to basketball than basketball”. Naim not only believes in this statement, but he is a living example of how the game of basketball can be used to open doors and teach life lessons that translate off the court. He credits much of his leadership skills and work ethic to his time as an athlete.

Originally from Waldorf, Maryland, a suburb of Washington D.C., Naim attended North Point High School. After a successful high school basketball career, he chose to attend Shepherd University to continue his athletic career and academic studies.

Known for having a high IQ for the game and good academic habits, it was a natural choice for Naim to get involved in coaching and education. Since graduating he has worked in leadership roles for several camps, clincs, and served as a skill development coach for middle school children. Additionally, he's been an assistant coach at the college, high school, and AAU level

Currently, Naim serves as a the Head Varsity Basketball Coach at Calvert High School and as a teacher at North Point High School.
